Singapore’s bank lending climbed to a new record high of SGD 931.4 billion in June 2026, up from SGD 917.7 billion in May.

Business loans increased to SGD 569.3 billion from SGD 557.8 billion, led by stronger lending to:

• Manufacturing: SGD 28.3 billion (vs SGD 28.1 billion)
• Building and construction: SGD 186.6 billion (vs SGD 185.2 billion)
• General commerce: SGD 102.4 billion (vs SGD 98.6 billion)
• Transportation, storage, and communication: SGD 50.5 billion (vs SGD 49.0 billion)
• Financial and insurance activities: SGD 151.3 billion (vs SGD 148.0 billion)

At the same time, consumer loans rose to SGD 362.1 billion from SGD 360.0 billion, supported by increases in:

• Housing and bridging loans: SGD 252.8 billion (vs SGD 251.4 billion)
• Car loans: SGD 10.1 billion (vs SGD 9.9 billion)
• Credit card loans: SGD 17.9 billion (vs SGD 17.7 billion)
• Share financing: SGD 750.9 million (vs SGD 738.9 million)
• Other personal loans: SGD 80.6 billion (vs SGD 80.3 billion)
